Wimbledon face a tough week next week with long trips in successive weekends away fixtures at Carlisle and Accrington. Carlisle are up next for the Dons and both teams go in to the fixture with disappointing recent League form but buoyed by morale-boosting JPT wins mid-week.

Carlisle have yet to win in the League this season and were hammered 5-0 in their last outing but have since axed manager Graham Kavanagh. The managerial changes produced an upturn in fortunes with their Tuesday night victory against Accrington and it remains to be seen whether their ‘new manager bounce’ will continue on into the League programme.

The Dons meanwhile will be hoping to leave their indifferent home League form at Kingsmeadow as they make the 500+ mile round trip to Cumbria looking to continue their 100% away win record.

In terms of personnel, manager Neal Ardley has conceded that his team selection is limited by minor injuries and suspensions and that the side will pick itself but for one or two positions. Left-back may be one of those as Callum Kennedy came off midway through Tuesday night’s game with a suspected concussion however with Jack Smith returning from injury and youngster Ben Harrison impressing after replacing Kennedy, Ardley will have a decision to make.

The game comes too soon for George Francomb though, who has still not fully recovered from the toe injury that ruled him out of the last two games, meaning KSL is likely to retain his spot on the right. Although Andy Frampton has returned to training following a long lay off with a broken ankle, Ardley has ear-marked the midweek Development League fixture with the Under-21s for the veteran defender to make a competitive come-back.

Finally, Harry Pell starts the first of a 3 match suspension following his straight red card
against Southend.
