I wonder how many would have had AFC Wimbledon and Scunthorpe’s meeting at Kingsmeadow on Saturday down as one that would have been as thrilling as it was?

Five-goals and plenty of incident later Wimbledon secured a dramatic comeback win late on…

Scunthorpe were ahead early on when Winnall (16) followed up after Worner could only parry Iwelumo’s effort.

A chance was handed, quite literally, to Wimbledon to level when Canavan gave away a penalty following a handball. Sheringham took this spot kick but this was well saved by Slocombe.

The visitors soon took advantage of the penalty miss with Iwelumo powering a header into the back of the net to double the Iron lead before the break.

Smith (62) scored his first Dons goal just past the hour and with 15-minuites to play Pell (75) drove home from the edge of the area, making Scunthorpe pay for not clearing the danger.

Winnall thought he had restored the Scunny lead but his effort was chalked off by an offside flag before a stunning Wimbledon comeback was complete when Arthur (87) secured a dramatic 3-2 comeback win three-minutes from time.

Arise Sir Arthur…
