Manager Neal Ardley has said that he is contemplating changes for the game against Burton Albion despite our much improved showing against Chesterfield.

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the game having been previously bolstered by the return of the likes of Peter Sweeney and Andy Frampton, the gaffer explained.

‘It was an ideal game for Andy to come back on and he has been fantastic for us all season. It’s important for us to get him back, we have to monitor the players.’

The gaffer goes on to say that Aaron Morris was dead on his feet following the game, and Sweeney has obviously played two games in quick succession following recovery from his own injury, so they will be looked at and most likely given a break.

‘We have to monitor all these things and there will be a few out of the squad. We will take a 19 man squad and assess the best way to prepare for this game.’

Ardley goes on to say that with players returning this is the strongest squad in his mind that we’ve had all season and what we really need to do now is find ourselves some momentum and really build ourselves some confidence in the process, as obviously confidence can’t be turned on or off it comes with good results.

The gaffer also says that he feels George Francomb can play a huge part for us in the remaining games, and credits him immensely for his performance in midweek.

‘George did really well, if you look at what he’s about he has a great delivery and crossing ability. Last season it was effortless, but this season he has struggled but obviously had a setback with injury. He has worked really hard to get strong and on Tuesday he worked incredibly hard.’
