Curtis Osana became AFC Wimbledon’s first summer signing when he was snapped up on a free transfer on Monday.

The 25-year-old right back joined The Dons after his contract with Luton expired, with him not renewing this following the failure to gain promotion back to the football league having lost in the play-offs again.

Terry Brown has worked with the defender before and, as he told the official website, feels he will have plenty to offer the club next season: ‘I was very lucky to work with Curtis when he was an apprentice at Reading. He came in and played centre-back at the time, but since then he has developed into a good right-back.

‘He is a beast of a boy, who has great power and strength and is a very good overall defender.

‘Curtis will give us an outlet in that right-back spot as he is capable of bursting down the wing and I think he will be a great signing for the club. He is a boy who has played against us for Rushden and Jamie Stuart spoke incredibly highly of him.’
