Manager Neal Ardley has hailed the team for a ‘complete display’ in our one nil victory over Luton Town at the weekend.

It was a hellishly hard fought win for Wimbledon as we dealt with everything that Luton threw at us and Matt Tubbs’ strike just before the half time break was enough to give us victory.

Speaking to the Official Site following the full time whistle, the gaffer beamed.

‘The back five including the goalkeeper all communicated well and the midfielders were tireless. The front two combined well for the goal and the substitutes did great too at a tough time. It was a complete performance and we could’ve won by a greater margin.’

Ardley goes on to say that despite being ‘phenomenal’ in every game so far this season Alan Bennett really put a shift in on Saturday, especially when you consider the calf injury he had in pre season and he couldn’t have been more proud of him for playing on despite picking up a few stitches.

Having picked out Bennett, the gaffer admits quickly he could be sat there picking out everybody who got on the pitch because they were all fantastic in their efforts.

‘We dug in under pressure and when we had chances to pass it we did that well and going forward we could have three or four goals.’
