Five players have been transfer listed by AFC Wimbledon in a January cull at Kingsmeadow.

Terry Brown, as he told The Hounslow Chronicle, feels that these players are not in his long-term plans so needs to offload them to bring in fresh faces to stop the slide that has set in during recent weeks.

Lee Minshull, Ryan Jackson, Charlie Ademeno, Max Porter and James Mulley have all been transfer listed, not that it was easy for Brown: ‘this has not been an easy decision and I would love to have kept faith with the whole squad for at least a season.

‘Unfortunately, our results dictate that we have to react to our recent form and the club has to make room for new signings that we will be bringing into the club over the next week, prior to the Port Vale fixture.

‘We felt we needed to act early in the transfer window to give each player the best possible opportunity to find another club.’

Is Brown right to deem these players surplus to requirements?
