Terry Brown has signed a new player which is nineteen year old Andre Blackman. He was a former trainee with both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur before moving to Portsmouth as a sixteen year old. Being a regular in pompy reserves over a two year period although it didn`t get him deal, so he was released by Portsmouth and signed a two year pro-contract with Bristol City on a free. He made just two appearances for the Robins in the Carling cup after recovering from an ankle injury.
But Bristol Boss Gary Johnson released him after three months due to a string of incidents, one allegedly being him driving without insurance.
Bad boy Blackman had a trial with Leicester City But was not signed after they could not come to agreement on a contract.
AfC Wimbledon now have Andre Blackman on their books, who some rate as one of the best talents outside the premier league. Terry Brown must now turn this former bad boy into a Dons star, the left back has an abundance of pace and technical ability which he can demonstrate in front of 3,500 fans at every home game at Kingsmeadow. Let`s all hope Andre takes this latest lifeline given to him by Brown to develop into the Wimbledon star that everyone knows he can become because this could be his last chance.
