Jason Euell was not the only man that joined AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday; a club record fee also saw Byron Harrison arrive.

The striker, signed for an undisclosed but record fee amount, was signed from Stevenage on a 2-½-year contract.

Terry Brown has been a fan of Harrison’s for some time and is happy to finally land him: ‘we tried to sign Byron when he was at Ashford Town and we’ve kept an eye on him since then.

‘We are delighted to have finally got our man. He will bring goals and pace up front and he will be starting on Saturday.’

Harrison may well have cost a club record fee but Brown is left with little doubt he will prove worthy of this: ‘he has cost us a record fee but I am sure he will prove to be a great investment for the club.’
