Jack Midson has found himself a new club following his AFC Wimbledon release, however he’s now dropped back into the non-league game.

The Wimbledon legend, of course the scorer of the goal that famously kept the Dons in the football league the season before last, wasn’t offered a new deal by Neal Ardley and will officially join non-league outfit Eastleigh on June 1st with him linking up with the club just days after Oxford United striker James Constable put pen to paper on a deal to join them too.

Midson has signed a two-year contract with the club.

With interests outside of the game these days perhaps a move into the non-league scene will enable the 30-year-old to focus a little more on that too, it hoes without saying that his progress will be watched by Dons fans all of whom will wish him well.
