Being taken off at half time in the Boxing Day defeat against Oxford and Terry Brown’s comments after seemed to suggest that Ryan Jackson would soon leave AFC Wimbledon.

Although, as he has told The Hounslow Chronicle, the winger is keen to prove his worth and force his way back into the starting XI: ‘I was surprised not be involved at all in the last couple of games, but I will just get my head down and do my best in training.

‘I’m not worried about my future as I have confidence in my own ability.

‘I’m trying to stay positive and hopefully I can show the gaffer why I should be in side.’

The 21-year-old, who has been on loan with Fleetwood already this season, certainly talks a good talk but he now has to follow this up with actions to prove to Brown that he is worthy of a place at the club.
