Manager Neal Ardley has confirmed that only Mark Phillips is a doubt for tomorrow’s game against Margate, otherwise he expects the majority to get a good 45 minutes under their belts.

Speaking to the Official Site the gaffer confirmed that all of the new signings this summer would get a run out, and trialist Matt Parsons could also figure in the game.

The 22 year old left back spent four years with Crystal Palace, making six first team appearances and taking in loan spells with Wycombe, Barnet and Plymouth where his last game for the Pilgrims was actually against us back in April, but he was released this summer as has spent time training and trialling with us since we returned to pre season training.

‘We’ve had a few trialists in and Matthew will possibly play a part tomorrow. He’s a bout a week behind the other players in terms of fitness, but he will probably get 45 minutes. We have a full squad with the only doubt being Mark Phillips, who has an abscess, but he has been having antibiotics and should be fine. Everyone else is fit, including Bayo Akinfenwa, Matt Tubbs, Dannie Bulman and Sean Rigg. All the new signings will play for 45 minutes.’

Ardley says that the half run out will be their starting point and he also plans on involving some of our U21s as well because obviously for them it’ll be an experience, and it also gives him the chance to cast an eye over them ahead of the campaign.

‘We are going to mix it up and we will try to keep the team as strong and experienced as we can in each half.’
