Having looked on course to win for much of the game AFC Wimbledon had to be content with a home draw against Swindon in the end on Saturday.
Early in the first half Hatton (6) gave Wimbledon the lead, which was taken into half time and beyond.
With time running out, and a win looking likely, Swindon struck through Connell (73) to secure a 1-1 draw.
