Wimbledon are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after the midweek action.

The performance by Lyle Taylor in the two nil victory on Tuesday evening over Dagenham and Redbridge at the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Taylor was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Taylor scored twice as Wimbledon recorded a 2-0 win at relegated Dagenham & Redbridge. A goal either side of half-time took the striker to the 20-goal milestone for the season, in all competitions, and the result maintains the Dons` Sky Bet League 2 Play-Off push.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Taylor for his recognition, but the most important thing about the midweek match was of course the win.

Full Team:

George Long (Sheffield United), Sol Bamba (Leeds United), Ryan Tafazolli (Mansfield Town), Marc Roberts (Barnsley), Anthony Knockaert (Brighton), Tom Ince (Derby County), Luke Berry (Cambridge United), Ricky Holmes (Northampton Town), Scott Hogan (Brentford), Jake Jervis (Plymouth Argyle), Lyle Taylor (Wimbledon).

Manager – Jackie McNamara (York City).
