It’s cup action for Wimbledon on Tuesday as the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy gets underway for another season.

Wimbledon welcome league 2 rivals Southend United to Kingsmeadow on Tuesday night for the first round of the JPT.

Neal Ardley didn’t suffer any new injuries, or isn’t expecting to have, following our three-two defeat to Stevenage Borough on Saturday but Andy Frampton (broken ankle) is still missing.

Jack Smith (knee) was injured in only the second game of the season but he should return and Ross Worner may replace James Shea in goal.

Southend could hand a debut to midfielder Gary Deegan who signed recently after a trial. Cian Bolger (suspension) is out for the visitors though after his sending off in their two-nil defeat to Plymouth Argyle at the weekend.
