It’s a break from league 2 football this weekend as the FA Cup takes centre stage again with Wimbledon in action away from home.

Wimbledon travel to league 2 rivals Wycombe Wanderers on Sunday afternoon with the two sides battling for a place in the third round of the FA Cup at Victoria Park.

Wycombe are hopeful that Sam Wood (groin) can return. They are also awaiting confirmation that loanees Alfie Mawson, Danny Rowe and Fred Onyedinma can feature, or not.

We’ll be without Jack Smith (thigh) after his latest injury means he will face a couple of months out.

Callum Kennedy and Ben Harrison are battling to fill in for him.

Ahead of he game Neal Ardley told BBC London 94.9: ‘We’re trying to go back home to Merton. If we could get to the third round and get that ideal draw, which we’ve never had much luck with in the past, what could do that do for us?

‘What could it do for us in January in terms of strengthening the squad? Let’s make no bones about it, Sunday is a massive game for us.

‘We’re underdogs and if we get through it would give the whole place a lift and something to look forward to.’
