It probably doesn’t have quite the appeal to many it once did (too many devalue it) but the FA Cup is still regarded by many as ‘the best cup competition in the world’, Wimbledon now enter the competition.

Wimbledon embark on the FA Cup dream again this afternoon when we start on the road to Wembley against league 2 rivals York City at Bootham Crescent.

York are missing Diego De Girolamo, who was recalled by Sheffield United from his loan spell this week. Loan ‘keeper Alex Cisak hasn’t been granted permission but fellow loanee Deon Burton has. Russell Penn (illness) is doubtful but Ryan Jarvis (suspension) can return.

Neal Ardley has a good amount of options to select from with Barry Fuller (knee) fully fit to feature.

On-loan Queens Park Rangers midfielder Frankie Sutherland has been granted permission to play by his parent club.

A break from league 2 might do us good, an extended FA Cup win would do the coffers good too!
