Matt Tubbs has said that in his opinion Wimbledon have a cracking squad going into the 2014-15 season and he’s really looking forward to the opportunity of getting his own career back on track now he’s with us.

Speaking to the Official Site after his injury problems that really hampered his efforts to make a fist of things with Bournemouth, he’s said that he feels a good pre season can really help him kick on and get back to his best now.

‘We’ve had a few good weeks in training so far, but the manager and Jason Moriarty have drilled in what they want from us. If we get niggles then we are out and in the physio room. The manager wants us all to be fit for the start of the season and that is key. I had a thigh injury last pre season and it really hampered me, I need a good pre season so that it can stand me in good stead for the next year.’

Tubbs goes on to say that the meetings he had with manager Neal Ardley before he finally signed for us were really positive and as far as he’s concerned the gaffer has stuck true to his words given the calibre of signings he’s made this summer, and he really feels it bodes well for the club going into 2014-15 and he thinks we are going to have a successful year.
