Chris Brush hoping that his recent form can see him stake his claims for a regular starting place for AFC Wimbledon.

The defender, who has started the last three league games with Gareth Gwillim injured, hopes his form – as ht told The Chronicle – can see him keep his place: ‘my best game so far was against Morecambe, but I didn’t think I did too well against Crewe.

‘I got man of the match against Crawley but I still think I could’ve done better. It’s nice to be given a chance at such a young age.

‘The gaffer’s shown faith in me and hopefully he will again in the next couple of games. I’ve had to wait patiently for my chance and hopefully I’ve taken it.’

19-year-old Brush earned the man of the match award against Crawley despite The Dons being hammered 5-2 and him scoring an own goal as well.
