Sam Hatton will be returning shortly following his summer holiday.
But will he sign a new pro contract for AFC Wimbledon`.
Sam started off at the Stevenage Borough youth academy and appeared twice for the first team in 2005.
He then had loan spells at Yeading, Maidenhead United, Northwood and Diss Town. Finally signing for the Dons in May 2007 this skilful, tall midfielder who also plays at fullback was a terrific signing for Terry Brown.
The Dons Boss said at the time “He will need to fight for his place, but is very comfortable on the ball and has a good engine. To be honest I`m amazed Stevenage has let him go”.
Since 2007 he has fought for a place in the first team and has been ever present over the last season while also getting his name on the score sheet on a number of occasions.
Sam says he`s happy at Kingsmeadow and will sign when he returns from holiday.
Then he said “We`re pretty close, but i won`t get a chance to sign until i get back from holiday.
” There were a few things that needed to be sorted out, but I fully expect to be here next season.
Let`s hope he puts pen to paper on his return from holiday and continues to give one hundred percent week in and week out for AFC Wimbledon.

He didn’t look too good against us (Stevenage) last season, though you were the best team we played at Broadhall Way.
