Ross Worner has been in very good form for AFC Wimbledon this season, however it took him a bit of time to win over the fans.

Worner came in to replace last seasons loanees Neil Sullivan, the former Wimbledon ‘keeper who came in on loan from Doncaster. His replacement, and namesake, John Sullivan came in from Charlton.

Sullivan moved onto Portsmouth in the summer so an opening came for Seb Brown but Neal Ardley doesn’t seem to rate him and another former Charlton ‘keeper in the shape of Worner came in.

Perhaps it was the fact that Brown was being overlooked but whatever the reasoning Worner is in fine form and doing plenty to win over any doubters, as Dons captain Alan Bennett knows.

Bennett told Dons Players: ‘Ross is really good saving shots from distance and coming off his line to collect crosses.

‘The manager said at the start of this season that Ross could be a fans favourite and it took him a while, but he is starting to win people over. Ross is getting stronger and stronger.’
