Manager Neal Ardley has confirmed that there are a number of players who will return to contention for the game against York city this weekend which will significantly increase his selection options.

To start with, Ardley has already ruled out of contention Jim Fenlon, Kevin Sainte-Luce and Charlie Wyke, but to offset that skipper Alan Bennett who was rested against Fleetwood Town is now back, and so are Aaron Morris (ankle) and Danny Hylton (elbow) who both came off the pitch in the same game.

Both returned to full training this week, along with George Francomb after he recovered from his groin injury.

It doesn’t end there though.

Speaking to the Official Site the gaffer also confirmed that he remained confident he could still call on Andy Frampton despite him turning his ankle in the game against Cray last night, and he expects the physio stuart Douglas to pass him fit tomorrow and Peter Sweeney has also come back into things.

‘I am going to have selection problems for Saturday and that’s a nice thing to have. It’s positive to have these players knocking on the door and saying ‘any chance of getting a game?’

Hopefully we can welcome back everyone before the end of the season and have some intense competition to help drive us on to a strong and solid end of the campaign.
