Wimbledon will now be able to call on the services of Jake Goodman for our FA Cup second round tie on Sunday against Wycombe Wanderers)

Initially, when the defender signed on loan from Millwall, it was agreed that it was ‘fair’ to both Wycombe and ourselves that neither he nor Fred Onyedinma (who had joined Wycombe on loan) featured in this tie.

Circumstances have now changed and as Goodman isn’t as close to first-team football with his parent club as Onyedinma is it was decided, with Millwall making Goodman eligible, that he should be allowed to feature as he’s far less likely to feature in the FA Cup later rounds than Onyedinma could.

The reasoning being that the ‘only person they would be hurting is Jake’ by now allowing the 21-year-old to feature.
