Frankie Sutherland is looking to impress during his loan spell with Wimbledon for more reasons that one.

It goes without saying that while he plays for us he wants to impress, and do well for us, as that’s what footballers want to do but he is also out to impress as he knows this could earn him an extended spell with his parent club QPR.

QPR are the club he supported as a boy and playing for them is a dream he’s always had, this hasn’t yet happened and with his contract expiring in the summer he knows if he doesn’t catch their eye during this spell his time with them could come to an end.

Sutherland is quoted in Get West London as saying: ‘I used to watch QPR as a kid, so it will always be a dream of mine to play for them.

‘My contract is up at the end of the season. It’s still early days and they want me to do well out on loan.

‘You can impress as much as you want in the U21s but it lacks a competitive edge you get in the Football League.’

Since arriving at the club in October 20-year-old Sutherland has made seven appearances for us.
