Watford are up next at Kingsmeadow as the Dons go into the game unbeaten in the last six friendlies.

After the goal fest at Beckingham Town on Tuesday night it is to be expected that the Hornets will prove to be tougher opponent and as the season approaches manager Terry Brown will be wanting the players to lift their game.

With the preliminary Carling Cup game next Friday against Crawly Town fast approaching it will be a final chance for some of the players to push into reckoning for a start in the first competitive game.

Brown told the Local Guardian: ‘Saturday is our biggest pre-season game, it is the one where we are looking at playing the strongest side we can and we are going to have to work very hard against Watford and I want that.’

Looking back at the 6-0 win over Beckingham Town he commented: ‘I was really pleased with the fact we played good football and scored a some good goals, Jack Midson in particularly got a hat-trick and looked good.’

Roll on Saturday and the game against Watford!
